hands. Nandini's parents find out when they decide to fill out her
Match.com profile and learn more than they bargained for about their daughter
and themselves.

SYNOPSIS:
Set in WWII Calcutta, Bombay Duck tells the story of Yasmine Khan, a street
wise young woman who opens a night club (think Casablanca) to serve the
Allied troops stationed in the city before heading off to the jungles of
Burma. Part historical, part fiction the novel endeavors to capture
a time and place where the extraordinary intersection of lives leads to
love, loss and ultimately freedom.

ABOUT
THE WRITER: Nandita Shenoy is thrilled to have her first play read
at Salaam 3rd Mondays. Marrying Nandini will also receive a full
production at the Shapiro Theater at Columbia University and Theater 54
as part of the Greenlight One Act Festival later this month. Nandita
is also an actor and a director. She was last seen at S3M as part
of the cast of Anjalee Deshpande?s Tamasha and returns to SALAAM
fresh from the Lincoln Center Directors Lab. BA, Yale University.
