"Pride Worldwide" is this year's theme
- Queens Borough President Helen Marshall is this year's Grand Marshall-
will lead the Parade. Parade begins at 12:30 PM SHARP!!! @ 37th Avenue
- 89th Street, Jackson Heights - Queens. We are asked to be at the formation
area no later than 11:30AM.
To get there : Take the Subway: 7,
R, G, V, E or F to 74th Steet - Roosevelt Avenue
Five hour stage show featuring local performers
Parade participants compete for
the ever-popular Queenie Awards,
categories include:
The Rainbow Magic Award - awarded to the
group with the best use of color
The BoomBox Award - to the group with
the best sound - be it chanting,singing, a band ect..
The Screaming Award - to the group that
best illustrates the 2002 Pride Parade Theme
