Snake Charmer, his fifth and latest album, blends this gifted guitarist and composer's myriad influences and interests to create a true global fusion music. Schooled in jazz and classical forms, he also is a former student of the master percussionist Ustad Alla Rakha. Rez Abbasi is "one of the New York jazz scene's best-kept secrets," says Guitar Player magazine. "If you are a fan of Shakti, Trilok Gurtu, George Brooks and other world-jazz fusion masters, you will probably be knocked out by Snake Charmer!"
